Snow Possible in North Carolina & Virginia This Friday

There is the possibility of some winter precipitation in parts of the North Carolina and Southeastern VA this Friday. A low off the coast will draw moisture and some colder air into the southeastern US Friday, which could potentially bring snow to regions of the North Carolina & Virginia. There are multiple models showing this trend including SREF Plumes for the region, though the NAM and WRF models that we rely on are not showing this trend. The system could bring as much as 2 inches to some areas if it plays out acording to the GFS and CMC model runs. This system will need to be monitored and we should have a better idea of what this system is going to do tomorrow afternoon.
