There is currently a tropical depression in the Atlantic located southwest of Bermuda. The current winds are only around 30-40 MPH, but this storm could become a Tropical Storm over the coming days and likely reach max winds of near 40 mph. The storm is currently going to steer off the coast of North Carolina and basically follow and east coast. The main threats associated with this system will be rip currents and erosion along the coast as this system is kicking up 4 foot seas in the Atlantic. It could also pull in some moisture causing rain in the Carolina's this week as the low that has caused up to 8 inches of rain in parts of the Carolina's over the weekend pushes north east. Both systems should push off to the northeast of the Carolina's by Saturday of this week. The effects felt by this system will be minimal.
