The best chance to get your pictures of a Meteor Shower in 2015 will likely happen next week on August 12th and 13th. The prolific Perseids Meteor Shower will peak next Wednesday and Thursday. The shower comes as part of the comet Swift-Tuttle and serves as a cloud a debris from the comes with some being thousands of years old. The meteor shower typically hits around the same time annually. During the peak time of the shower 60 or more meteors will be visible per hour. The best time to view this meteor shower will be after midnight though they will be visible through all hours of the night on these 2 days. The best direction to look to view this shower will be in the Northeastern sky though meteors will be visible in all directions.
