SEVERE WX WARN RELEASES NEW MAPPING SYSTEM ON SITE & APPS​

Severe WX Warn introduced a new mapping system Tuesday, which utilizes ESRI's new online mapping development system. This new system runs on javascript and is capable of loading weather maps at a much faster pace for a better user experience. The site has implemented this new system and our apps in the Android and Windows App Store's will go through the implementation process over the next 5 days with a full completion by Sunday. Below is an overview of the new capabilities and features.

NEW MAPPING SYSTEM

The new mapping system provides the following features:

  • GPS Location

  • Time Enabled Features

  • Layer Selecting and Editing

  • Basemap Selecting

  • Map Legend

  • Feature Table
