DEADLY TORNADOES HIT OKLAHOMA AND ARKANSAS WEDNESDAY
At least one person is dead Wednesday night after strong storms moved through Oklahoma and Arkansas Wednesday afternoon. Multiple tornadoes we're reported in the storm system Wednesday afternoon that killed one person in a trailer just west of Tulsa Oklahoma. Storm reports show that there was extensive damage to a mobile home park in the small town of Sand Springs where the fatality occurred. Storm reports from Wednesday also show a donut shop in the same town was destroyed. The image shown on your left shows the tornado and damage reports from Wednesday's storms.
Leading up to Wednesday's storms SevereWXWarn.com and the NWS warned the public that the threat of tornadoes could be possible in Wednesday's storms with a greater chance of damaging winds and hail. Multiple alerts and warnings were placed on many of the storm cells on Wednesday to alert the public of these potentially dangerous storms. The map to your right was provided by Severe WX Warn showing data from the SPC alerting of the chance of tornadoes on Wednesday in the area that was hit.
